What’s Puberty?

Tuesday 23rd March 2021

Puberty is a process all children go through, normally at the age of 9-14, and it’s something you should not be anxious about.

Impact on Females

The first signs of puberty (in girls) is that the breasts begin to develop, which can feel tender. Girls will also develop pubic and armpit hair. Also, did you know that girls start to sweat more?

Impact on Males

When males experience puberty, they get acne, which is a skin condition. If you get a spot, you might feel horrified. However, you shouldn’t worry because there are lots of creams/face washes that can help.

Mood Changes

When you go through puberty (whether you’re male or female), sometimes your mood changes. You’re happy one minute, and the next minute you’re crying about ice-cream melting. Also, you could get aggressive. You might even feel depressed because your body is changing, as well as having low self-esteem.

You might feel terrible and angry, but it will be okay because every teenager goes through it. You might feel depressed, but all boys go through it. Just be happy, and you’ll be okay. Hopefully, this blog has informed you enough about puberty to reassure you that everything will be okay in the future.
