IDAS (Independent Domestic Abuse Service)
Our Academy and Barnsley Council work closely with our partners IDAS (Independent Domestic Abuse Service) to support residents in our local community who are suffering or have suffered from domestic abuse. Many people who face controlling ,violent or abusive behaviour from a partner or family member are likely to be feeling very frightened about being isolated with them for long periods of time. Abusive behaviour may escalate due to increasing uncertainty, pressure on finances and cramped conditions.
IDAS are still providing vital services during these very difficult circumstances.
