English:
In English, we have been reading 'Girls for the Vote’, by Linda Newbery.
We are working on writing an explanation text.
Maths:
In Maths, both year 3 are working on multiplication and division. Year 4 are working on measures of length.
Enquiry:
Enquiry is focused on answering our Guiding Question: Can one person make a big difference?
Along the way, we will focus on answering Spaced Questions to support our learning journey:
1. Who are Malala Yousafzai and Emmeline Pankhurst?
2. What were the key events in Malala Yousafzai and Emmeline Pankhurst’s fights for equality?
3. How were Malala Yousafzai and Emmeline Pankhurst the same?
4. How did Malala Yousafzai and Emmeline Pankhurst make a difference?
PE:
In PE (Physical Education), we are lucky enough to be furthering our skills in team games and Volleyball. We have PE with Mr Walters on a Wednesday afternoon. Remember to come to school wearing your PE kits and have your hair tied up, so that you are ready and raring to go.

In English, we have been reading 'The King's Stilts' by Dr Seuss. We are working on writing a newspaper report, to let everyone know that the King's stilts are missing and that they must be found!

3. How did Henry VIII and William the Conqueror's reigns compare?
4. How were Henry VIII and William the Conqueror both great leaders?
To start our Enquiry, the children were very lucky to take part in a Zoom interview with King Henry VIII and Katherine Parr! We learnt lots about the Tudors, and were able to ask the King lots of interesting questions.
PE:
