Together We Can Achieve Anything

We have lots of exciting things planned for this half term.

In English, we have been reading 'The King's Stilts' by Dr Seuss. We are working on writing a newspaper report, to let everyone know that the King's stilts are missing and that they must be found!

In Maths, both year 3 and 4 are working on place value.

Enquiry is focused on answering our overarching question: What makes a great leader?
Along the way, we will focus on answering sub-questions to support our learning journey:

1. Who were King Henry VIII and William the Conqueror?

2. What were the key events of King Henry VIII's and William the Conqueror's reigns?

3. How did Henry VIII and William the Conqueror's reigns compare?

4. How were Henry VIII and William the Conqueror both great leaders?

To start our Enquiry, the children were very lucky to take part in a Zoom interview with King Henry VIII and Katherine Parr! We learnt lots about the Tudors, and were able to ask the King lots of  interesting questions.

In PE (Physical Education), we are lucky enough to be furthering our skills in Football and Basketball. We have PE with Mr Walters on a Wednesday afternoon. Remember to come to school wearing your PE kits and have your hair tied up, so that you are ready and raring to go.
