Your homework this week consists of an addition and subtraction booklet, and a setting description.
Addition and Subtraction:
This booklet is purely to ensure that your child keeps practising the skills they've learnt over the past couple of weeks. Go at your own pace. I would highly recommend doing 2-3 pages per day.
All pupils were extremely successful during this unit and I'm looking forward to finishing the unit our first week back.
Although the setting doesn't link directly to The Chocolate Tree (our current story), it provides the opportunity to use the same skills that you will use when describing settings in your story.
Think about the skills we have learnt previously such as relative clauses and parenthesis, as well as including skills that we have recently investigated: hyphens and cohesive devices.
I'm looking forward to seeing your homework books next week.
Enjoy your half term holiday!
Miss Rutter :-)
