I'm in the process of organising Ward engagement events in the North East Area Partnership (Monk Bretton, Royston, St Helens, Cudworth and North East wards), details below. The theme for each of the events has been decided by the Ward Councillors in each of the wards.
- 22nd Feb 2011 - 1pm - 4pm - North East Ward - Family Learning Event - Acorn Centre, Grimethorpe, Barnsley
- 19th March 2011 - 11am - 2pm - St Helens Ward - Easter Eggstravaganza - St Helens Church Hall, Athersley, Barnsley
Are any of the events detailed above something you or your service would like to be involved in, possibly by providing an activity or and display?
The aim of the two family learning events in the North East and Monk Bretton wards are to encourage learning within the community by promoting the availability of and access to learning opportunities for the whole family along with some fun activities and a face painter. The Easter Eggstravaganza event in the St Helens ward is pretty much the same as the other two but with a specific Easter theme and some additional sports activities. These events could also provide an opportunity for residents to engage with services of the council and its partners around housing, crime and the environment.
