Through Open Futures the children take part in Ask it sessions. These sessions promote an emphasis on enquiry and discussion to encourage children to think about the bigger picture and talk about their opinions.
We look at abstract concepts and concrete concepts and how they are different. A concrete concept is an idea or question that would have one answer, for example if a group of people were ask to think about an orange, most answers would be very similar if not the same. An abstract concept looks at philosophical questions, ideas that promote more than one answer and are therefore used to lead discussions, for example freedom.
